Looking at Sears Elite 80, Knoedler Grand Chief, K&M, etc. The more I look, the more I cannot decide, though I am leaning towards the Knoedler.
There must be a bunch of o/o's that have replaced or upgraded their seats, right? When I spec'd out my 2000 Volvo 770, I got the best seat they offered at the time, though I cannot remember the seat brand. 1.5 million miles later after rotating the driver and passenger seats (identical) a couple of times, I had to replace it and didn't have time to get what I wanted, had to get what was available which ended up being a Seats for about 450. It's kinda OK, certainly better that the one I replaced, as it would stay up at all, but want to get a good seat. 700 to 1200 or so price range.
By the way, when I checked w/Volvo to see if I could buy a new one of the original type, it comes up in their computer as UNAVAILABLE.
Also wondering if anyone has the heat and cool option and if they feel it is worth the money. I had heat on my original seat and really didn't use it much.
Having a hard time deciding on my next seat, need recommendations

Few people have Bose seat on Kevin's Rutherford forum.

I got a Sears Elite in gray leather. I wouldn't buy another one.
It's too wide for me, and wont let me get low gear on a 13speed as the shifter hits the armrest when its down.
Scratch it off your list, if its there.
Martinmp4694330 Thanks this. -
One of the things I like about the Knoedler, it's not real wide. I'm not real wide, though have a front bumper. It's firmer that the others also.

are we talking the Bose I saw prototype of a couple of years ago at MATS? SEVERAL thousand $$$$, ???

I've got the mid-back fixed-back cloth non-air-ride jump seat that I adapted to work on a Bostrom Talladega 915 air-ride base. All it needs to do is hold my butt while I drive...don't need a lazy-boy. All it took was a little time, some scrap metal, and a few welding rods to make it work...much cheaper than a new seat.

Recaro makes a nice truck seat, VERY comfortable.

I would never buy another sears seat if their new ones are anything like I have in the truck now.
