I'm sure, just learning, you sound great! I'd rather listen to a real asphalt cowboy running through the lot with 8" exhaust AND jakes at 2am.

You obviously have no taste in quality music. Those wannabe country boys aren't qualified to be techs on the late-great SRV's guitars.

That’s no lie! Stevie Ray Vaughn was unbelievably great and had a tone and style like no other. And as far as country goes Jason Alden couldn’t hold a candle to Merle haggards ear for melody on a guitar

Dude, you do know that the insurance on your truck will NOT cover your guitar?

They will fights a claim like this.

Trucks are easy to get into, unless you make it into a clam shell with metal on the windows.

Do what you want, it is your property.

Personally, I wouldn't take a high end guitar on the road.

Heat, cold, humid, dry, all have an effect on that wood and can cause premature aging and separation of the glues and other damage like snapped necks.

I've seen musicians f'k up their guitars because they don't take precautions to prevent damage when travelling.
Rapid temperature changes can cause damage, lift the top, warp or snap the neck, cause the finish to crack.
Worst thing you can do is take an ice cold guitar out of the case in a warm room instead of letting it warm up inside the case.

When I was gigging on a regular basis I carried a truss rod wrench with me and left the cover off, because my bass was exposed to all different types of humidity and temperature and the neck needed to be tweaked regularly to keep from flattening out or gaining too much bow.
In my apartment the necks hardly change, might tweak them once a year or every second year.

If you're intent on taking a high end instrument on the road buy a quality case and learn from a luthier how to care for it.

    Rock on.

I've got too many customers that require me to vacate the truck for hours and no motor or APU. That raises the temp inside my cooler such that I sometimes have to throw away my food. I wouldn't trust a $3000 guitar to survive unharmed inside a locked truck in 90 plus temps.

You can get a perfectly serviceable beater guitar for a couple of hundred bucks. Taking a guitar like that OTR is just begging for trouble.

You’ve gotta be kidding. Jason Aldean is a good musician but he doesn’t hold a candle to SRV.
