    Trouble.

I even have my on-route inspection logged 2 hours into driving as on-duty not driving ,it was properly secured an all but somehow managed to come off . This is bullcrap ,and I have no clue how it could have came off.

EDIT:I should note I did another on-route inspection 15 min in ,before people yell at me.

contact your dm or whoever you need to for night/weekend and let them know what happened. explain it all. They might just route you to get some placards by a TS and apply them temporarily to get the load delivered.

If you get stopped by police or DOT it depends on what kind of mood they are in. They will ask you when your last stop was, did you check your placards, and so on.... I would call your night time management and report it AS SOON as you figure it out. Let them be the ones to make the "decision" and if they do it and you have a qualcomm, tell them to send you a qualcomm message with instructions on what to do so that way there is a log of what they told you.

Stop at the next truck stop and buy a placard. If you just need a generic "corrosive" or whatever, you're good to go. If you need a numbered placard, buy some numbers and stick them on. I don't think that it is 100 kosher according to the regulations, but sometimes you make do in a pinch.

Why don't you have at lest one extra placard? I always ask for 1 or 2 extra when I haul a HAZMAT load. But then our trailers have the placards holders so we don't have to stick them to the side. but then I have had 2 fall off while in transit, hence why I ask for extras.

It is on the right side of the trailer, The other placards are in place, the right side is the one that faces the coop...... You don't think that they may notice the ones on the front and back? It is only a couple of bucks to get one at a truck stop. Come on man think for yourself, it is your license that you need to protect and it is only a few dollars. Is your license worth more than that?

I do a lot of oversize loads and even though the company provides the flags and banners, I have my oversized bag that I throw in the truck with 2 oversized load banners, 4 flags and 4 flags on sticks along with a bunch of bungies. I am NOT going to get a fine, period.

Remove the front or rear placard and put it on the side position.

Move to a truck stop to get a new replacement placard.

Sometimes a shipper will give you an extra if you ask.

Placards can be secured in place with clear packaging-tape.

Those slide in placard holders suck if you get thin stick on placards. I either tape them in the holder or just stick them on the trailer
