You're missing the point, I work with guys who started driving back in the 70's and 80's, it's not the conditions that were better, it's drivers that were better. Now, the conditions are better, and the drivers suck.

    Like I said...

    Truckers Good
    Drivers Bad

    It's ok, we get it.

How to tell new breed drivers.
    1. Lights on in fuel Island. ( for 45 mins. )
    2. Lights on while spending 20 mins. Backing into parking spot.
    3. Lights on after parked.
    4. Lights on while doing Qualifying laps for the truckstop 500.

Walked over to a moron that parked across from me one night and closed his curtains and went to bed. Thought he had just forgot, so I asked him to turn them off. He told me to do something that is physically impossible, not a nice thing to do. So I told him if they were not off by the time I got back to my truck I would be quite happy to return with my 3lb. hammer and turn them off for him. Funny thing they went off before I got 5 feet. Me I'm old school, where we used to help each other, it's a shame but every day there or fewer and fewer of us out here. And I'm starting to look forward to selling my truck and calling it a day myself.

lol..oh cmon now...I like a variety, sometimes a secluded area, rest areas, at shipper, near a lake/scene, of course the trk stops for showers, fuel, etc...Simply said variety, I go to barn dances to but that's another subject
