The guy I talked to who just left Miller has an older Pete and was paid percentage running dedicated regional loads. I'm not sure how he knows he would get less, but I'm pretty sure he looked into it pretty good. He doesn't seem like the type to make a jump like that on emotion. It was all about the money from what he said. Again, just fwiw, it didn't seem like he had anything against Heniff, but definitely thought he found a better deal than Miller.
Heard a rumor Heniff is buying Miller and MILs

This was announced last Nov or Dec. The merger was scheduled to be completed by beginning of June, but I'm seeing mixing of trailers already. Heniff buying Miller was a opportunity deal. When the owners 2 heirs died last year the owner no longer wanted to run the company full time and Bob from Heniff evidently made an offer at just the right time.
slim shady and Orange713 Thank this. -
So who is the top 5 in size for chemical tankers?
-
I think it’s
1, Kenan
2. Quailty
3. Trimac
4. I’m guessing Heniff now
5. Either going to be QuestLiner/ Foodliner or Superior. -

scythe08 and ChicagoJohn Thank this.

I believe this was a perfectly timed offer. Bob Jr has been trying to become as big as or bigger then QC and this was an opportunity. Jr has Heniff so leveraged, I can't figure out how he came up with the financing.88 Alpha Thanks this. -
I'm guessing
Kenan
QC
Trimac
Dana
Heniff/Miller -
Dana runs under 3 different authorities. Dana Transport, Suttles and LTC. Dana Companies Inc makes more money from their trailer leasing operations than all of the trucking companies combined.
Orange713 Thanks this.
