I can say Schneider is a good company, very professional, no driver facing cameras. But I also quit from this company because pay was too low and hours were too high. They have many options and if you make a good plan you can find good opportunities to learn at this company. Schneider has more trailers than any other company.

Hours is a good point to make to a newbie. It doesn't matter what company you go with. If it's not local, you going to be running 70 hours a week and probably not see your house but once a month. It's a hard life and not necessarily worth the money to a lot of people. That's why you see a lot of washouts.

I've seen way too many people unable to handle it even at my regional job. They start having trouble with home life and missing family and unable to do anything personal. Doctor's visits, any kind of appointments. If you don't know how to roll with the punches and deal with it, you won't last too long.

I’ve always been curious when I see their trucks — do they run their drivers from the lower 48 to Alaska with any frequency? Do they just service both Alaska and the lower states and have different freight for each? Shuttle drivers running from up north to drivers down south?

Not sure, but I think teams do the Alaska runs. Yes, regular runs to Alaska.
Anyone interested should call and ask if team & solos run Alaska.
