Hi! I am new here and I need some help! I got a speeding ticket 10 over in Oklahoma City. I've heard of companies out there that will help you with your ticket by assigning you an attorney. Have any of you tried any of those? Can you recommend any?
I think it's best if I can get an attorney there in OKC because they have a working relationship with the prosecutor and I just don't want to pay the ticket right away.

Find a traffic lawyer that operates near the courthouse the ticket goes to. They usually yield better results cause they know how that county operates and probably are buddies with the prosecutor. Can probably change a moving violation to just an expensive parking ticket. Believe me it would be better off to get a $500 parking ticket than a $200 speeding ticket.

I heard a lot about TVC and other similar companies with membership plans, so I was just looking for some feedback. For now I think I'll find one on my own to help me out with this ticket

I used to have TVC in the 90’s. Running 5 under through some garbage town in Texas and some cop with a quota decided it was my day.

Called TVC and they were wanting to plead down. I called the courthouse and got it handled myself. Dropped TVC as soon as I got to my bank.

So now, if I go into a truck stop and they have some woman attempt to fearmonger me into TVC, I become unpleasant.

I remember their sales tactics.. Tell everyone that they support the absolute worse in truck drivers... then ask me if I want to be like their protected garbage drivers.. I didn't even tell them to #### OFF.. just laughed and walked away. Most of these sales monkeys are not even well versed on the industry, let alone ever been a part of it. The TVC scams were really the start of the race to the bottom for the industry.

Why not just accept the ticket and do better to watch your speed? The hundreds or even thousands to keep this (pretty minor/common) violation off your record may not even be worth it. Especially these days when the industry is accepting all sorts of lower rung dregs to fill their trucks.. one 10mph speeding ticket is not even considered bad anymore. Just slow down a bit and keep moving forward

They are only a half step above the ambulance chasing lawyers that prey on truckers and support the clowns that brake check trucks for insurance

Imho what’s worked for me was to contact court first and see if they’ll plea it down to any non moving violation of the same $$$ value....worked well for me many times
They get their $$$ you keep record clean
If not a local traffic lawyer is your best option

Agreed - total trash and waste of money.

Exactly - I've done it before and it works. If you can half way write a letter to the court clerk, do the big old sob story and promise to do better, it'll be a defective wiper blade for 3 times the original ticket. And you'll have saved the $$ that you would have paid on the original ticket, paying an attorney to do the same.

And slow down, speed limit, protect your license, blah de blah.
