Indeed ... Everyone from ex soviet union republic speaks Russian... Baltics also ... But that applies mostly to people over 30 years old, younger generations dont speak unless its main language in their country ( Belarus is a good example )

Very new forum members may not be able to send a direct message until they post a few messages. But other members can send you a direct message. So @lual or @Chinatown, if they have time and want to send you a message can do so and then you can have a private conversation with them. Being in a hurry is not good for getting a good job. Being in a hurry will often lead to getting a job of low quality.

    Chinatown and blairandgretchen Thank this.

1st, unless someone already said, welcome to America, and your English is head and shoulders above many. We, in America, have always been told how backward many other countries are, but really, I don't think that's true. We, unless retired, all get up and go to work. Not sure how you found out about this site, but you came to the right place. What's great about this site, is a wide range of opportunities from all types of trucking 1st hand, but you must tell us what type of work you'd like, local,( home daily) regional, ( maybe an overnight or 3) over the road,( never home, the truck becomes your home) it can be overwhelming. As a brand new driver, you may be relegated to a van load of hand unloaded goods to a Dollar General in Bugfart, MO., for maybe $50gs/year, but we all had to start somewhere, unless your mom was the president of something, it offers great experience with a nice truck, and if you keep the record clean, many jobs await for twice the money, so it's an incentive to do a good job. Be aware, turnover is huge, but it can be done. Good luck, keep us posted, eh?

I was trying to do my laundry in Los Angeles a while ago. But I poured my laundry soap the wrong direction and it spilled all over the washling machine, and the floor, and myself, and .... everything. It was a disaster!

The Russian next to me laughed, like a lot. Was that you?

If you aren't comfortable speaking English without a translator, DO NOT go with any company unless they put you with a trainer who speaks Russian. I will repeat that another way.

Do you need a translator for English?

    YES???

You need a trainer who speaks Russian!!!
