    Since you are new here, why not take some time to browse the threads! There is a wealth of information here, with most folks willing to give you a hand, and share their experiences. Shouldn't take you too long to figure out who is actually knowledgeable, vs those who are just know it alls. Of course I think we all fall into both of those categories sometimes...:confused:

    I only have one piece of advice and it is free. Remember here in these forums, at truck stops and company terminals. You are going to hear a lot of bellyaching and hyperbole from drivers and ex drivers. Don't believe most of what you hear. None of the carriers are as bad as you hear and NONE of them are as good. In trucking before you move to what you hear is a greener grass, stop and give it lots of thought. Most times that grass is not greener and you see after changing that job it is not. Another thing if you do jump try to stay with that carrier at least a year. You will hear stories of .45 cents a mile or .50 or maybe even .60 cents a mile as a company driver. However before you jump make sure the carrier gets you miles. Jumping from company A to company B because company B pays 6 or 7 cents a mile aint worth a #### if you lose a few hundred or so miles a week. You don't want a lot of job hopping on your DAC/HIRERIGHT file. Remember something I have always tried to get rookie drivers to understand. When you are in truck stops and company Terminals or even here in TTR you are listening to drivers that are not driving. A driver that is NOT in that left seat driving IS NOT MAKING MONEY. These are the drivers you will listen too the most and most will vent. If you want to know about a company ask a driver at a fuel island or other place where they are on duty but not driving for a few minutes. Most of the time you will get an honest opinion of the company they drive for.

    Just wondering ...
    You have a years worth of driving but you hauled things on lowboys for 18 years or did i read this wrong?

    I did heavy equipment operating putting in Gas lines for 18 years and in that 18 years I have pulled lowboys and things from time to time and I have only been driving full time for the last year 1/2 lol sorry for the confusion
