I'm a little familiar with burns myself, having worked in a steel mill as maintenance. Never really badly burned, but I got myself in the crook of the elbow once pretty good. I can tell people from experience that I do, indeed, smell like bacon when cooked.

LOL, no. I was not in any shape to be jumping right back up. It didn't hurt immediately, but it #### well stunned me. Then I moved my head and my glasses fell off, and my left arm hurt a bit. Then, finally, I started feeling pain from my eye area.

That really worried me for a second. Broken glasses, poor vision, and eye pain. But I flipped to my back and did a quick check to be sure both eyes were working, then slowly stood up, and zombied into the truck stop and took up a corner of the men's room sink for about five minutes cleaning myself up and making sure there was nothing really wrong with me other than being banged up a bit - at least that I could tell. Some EMTs were called, they looked me over, we talked symptoms, and I decided not to take them up on the offer of a ride to a local clinic.

I could engage in a little teasing to see if the weight of that fall on the scales is worth 10 dollars for a use of it.
Believe it or not, your eyes contain the most sensitive of all nerves in the human body. If you are going to get a Ow anywhere it will be on the eyes.

My surgeon said I woke up from the pain despite a IV anesthesia when they introduced argon gas into the eyeball to paste the retina in place. I remember that episode it hurt. A couple of needles of this and that made that ow go away right quick.

Though im normally not superstitious at all, I'm seriously thinking that starting this thread was a bad idea. I might just hide in my truck, finish a 34, consider this week over, and never start another bad week thread again.

STAY THE F AWAY FROM ME. You are bad news no matter how I look at it. I hope things get better soon for you.

    Heh. I'm very sure I don't want a re-weigh.

Pain isn't a problem I normally have. When I lost my index finger and mangled my middle finger on my right hand, I needed pain medicine for 24 hours after each of three surgeries.

Same thing for every surgery I've ever had. As long as I am careful not to aggravate the injured parts, they don't hurt enough to bother me after about 24 hours.

Okay. Update on the concrete faceplant.

Left wrist is still sore, but it's not any worse than when I went to bed.

The eyebrow injury didn't bleed at all last night, nor is it painful, but oh, boy, do I have a beautiful bruise.

EDIT: Unfortunately the eye is swollen shut, so I have no depth perception and can't drive. I can barely open it, and can't keep it open for more than a few seconds.
