hey my name is Gerelkhuu. On Friday September 20th 2013 i bought some diesel from TA travel center for my volvo 2008 freight liner and it broke down on the side if the freeway and wouldn't start. and i had to tow my truck back to my yard and had some specialist come and check my truck to see what was wrong with it. they checked and checked and they finally saw that my diesel was abnormal they described it as very dark. when it should look like very very clear with a light green color to it. SO IF ANY ONE IS HAVING THE SAME ISSUE PLEASE CALL ME AT Deleted OR please leave comments below if you know what i should do thank you.
HEY has anyone ever gotten bad diesel from TA travel center?

Was it a Volvo or a freightliner? (not that it matters) Also not a smart idea to put your phone # here for everyone to see
fr8te_sh8ker, bolor and d o g Thank this. -
Technicians can only tell you of symptoms they see and that doesn't mean fuel came from the last fuel stop as that's only one possible cause.
TA will argue you can't prove anything. Be careful as TA could turn this post around on you, accuse you of defaming them if you can't prove anything.
I suggest you contact the State Attorney General's Office of Consumer Protection where the TA is located to see if others companies reported issues at that TA and go from there.
Good luck.bolor Thanks this. -
You can get bad diesel almost anywhere. Its hard to know what is happening underground. I would say, what you might have got was a bio diesel blend which can cause some fuel filters to plug sooner. Also, colored diesel is a off road diesel but I think they typical use a Red dye. I had a oil service which included my fuel filter. Within a week it was plugged. Luckily I have the fuel filter with a sight glass dome so I can determine when it is plugging. Most pumps at fuel islands have spin on filters that prevent large particles from being pumped. But I doubt many are maintained as well as they should be.bolor and fr8te_sh8ker Thank this. -
Sometimes you get dirty diesel. Usually your fuel filter will clog, and you'll experience a loss of power before you're broken down on the roadside...Don't know if your fuel filter is in the clear glass bowl, and you can see it or not, but if it is, you should always check to see how quickly its filling whenever you pop the hood.
You don't say how long it was between when you fueled and when you broke down, or how much fuel you added. You can try taking your mechanic's findings and your fuel receipt back to T/A to get them to pay for damages. You might get more responses if you say which T/A you went to.

I doubt it was just from there unless there were other trucks that also broke down, I think it's more, you had gotten bad fuel and it finally go the algae bad enough in there it caused a problem. You should run a Bio Clean every 6 months through your tanks.

thank for all the help =]

considering how many trucks fuel at any truckstop in any given hour.
if TA was selling bad fuel. you wouldn't be the only broke down truck. -
is there anyway that my car can contaminate my diesel?
-
i was wondering if it wasn't from the diesel then can it possibly be that my truck contaminated the diesel is that even possible?
