Was given options of moving into another truck or waiting for this one to get damage repaired. I chose to take home time and wait on this truck. I didn't even ask what the other truck was. That's how much I hate changing trucks. I will just regroup and try again when truck is repaired. Fresh start hopefully Tuesday.

Ya know. I tried hard to come up with something upbeat and funny to post, just to lighten the mood a bit after reading this, but....I'm at a total loss. The only thing I can say is hole-e-cow. Maybe karma will have to stop to reload and you can get out of range before it takes another shot at that target following you around.

I have been thru bizarre periods before. I was a second generation Roofing Contractor carrying on the family business. Nice steady income with long established referral base. Had not had a hurricane cross our inland county in over 40 yrs. Then in 2004 THREE bisected our county in less than 6 weeks. Essentially resulting in at least 75 percent of my market getting a new roof in 1 year. Thus my market vanished. 5 years later I finally stumbled across driving and a steady income again.

The combination of the opportunity to step away from things for a few days and also not go thru the truck change process just felt right to me. Remarkably, in just 3 short weeks, I find myself strangely bonded to this truck.

You may be one of few people who have actually taken time to get the truck repaired. I'm sure soon it will run flawlessly.

I tried to come up with something funny about "why did the Angus cross the road", but "to get to the other side" just didn't seem funny
