I've heard it called Sherman (Shermin)...but when it's icy...Charmin, because that's what you might need if you're not careful

Sherman pass, the highest spot on the Lincoln highway at 8,640 ft. and then the bob sled run down into laramie is always a fun ride. the drop of 1000 ft in just 3 miles with another 400 ft into laramie. The cheyenne side goes from 5700 to the summit in just over 30 miles.

Parked at the TA at Fort Bridger, Wyoming. A heavy hauler smacked a bridge in Rock Springs. He knocked the bottom flange of the 1st bridge I - beam free from it's weld. Still connected at the ends but the flange was sagging probably 2 ft in the middle over the traffic. The equipment he was hauling was mostly still on his trailer with one of the tracks off the drivers side edge. I am sure that will tie things up for a while. It had just happened. It was snowing pretty good going through there also. They are gonna have me switch out my load with a driver that needs to stay close to the Northwest. He will have a Florida bound load. In the morning they will decide whether I am waiting here or swapping further down the line. I don't have any details yet on the locale of the other driver. That bridge damage was Eastbound.

so a turn and burn trip this week. sounds good... and one has to wonder how one does not know the height of the load they are hauling... and from your description he must of hit it hard. Even the weather men around here can't keep up with the weather, snow predicted, then no it will be rain, then nothing, then snow....
Ft bridger, just before the three sisters, or the three witches...xlsdraw Thanks this. -
The heavy hauler was carrying an Excavator.
