I understand where you’re coming from
And I’m truly if it ain’t broke don’t fix it guy....
unfortunately shops today are out of control money wise.... I’m very grateful to have couple old very competent friends that run shops
Because the reality is changing a head gasket isn’t really as time consuming or expensive as most(especially dealerships)would have you believe
Also if you’re careful (or whomever is doin it is)
You should only need gasket kit which is jus over 300 I’m told
Rest of parts should be absolutely reusable if done right....if headbolts break on removal...Fastensal has lots of options that work well for MUCH lower cost than so called factory certified parts
    Best of luck

Thanks my man great advice, I'm going to attempt to put a head gasket sealing stuff that was recommended. Not as a long term fix, simply to see if bubbles slow down, if they do, I'm ordering the gasket kit and schedule the necessary repairs, can't loose nothing by trying and maybe getting at least the repair money out of a few extra local loads, times are tuff as you know, gotta squeeze everything we can out of our equipment right now, there will be better times ahead, but right now got to overtime everything to stay afloat

This couldn’t be farther from the the truth. Head gaskets don’t just fail in almost all cases there is an underlying issue with head , block or cylinder liner which cause the gasket to fail as a result. Replacing the gasket is a temporary fix at best.

I have never found a replacement head bolt for any modern engine at Fastenal.

I had injector seal problems on a truck that would push coolant out the over flow hose. Would also get compression in the fuel galley in the head, causing a brief jerk in the engine because interruption of fuel flow. It would only happen intermittently when I stuck my foot in the accelerator, putting engine under a load How did you rule out compression?

I had to buy a new coolant overflow tank on my dd15, 665k mikes, it went to acting weird, sometimes blowing coolant out, sometimes it wouldn’t.
    Got a new one.
    ebay for $90,

    But can try this.

The problem with the block tester is it doesn't tell you where the exhaust products are getting into the cooling system. Could be the head. Could be the EGR cooler. Could be a liner.

Could be a injector cup or a cracked head .. I only know enough about Detroits to be dangerous but the few I have worked on have made me a beliver that would be my go to motor if I couldn't get a Cat
