I agree. You can honor it from the cab of another companies truck. My word can go the opposite way real quick if I’m being screwed. Maybe thats what happened here.

The story I was told Swift, and many other trucking companies would pay the schooling loan off. This is why CRST had no damages other then losing driver because of lower wages and poor people skills. There is no way I prove this. Just was the story way back when.

Just how would s company trying to recruit a driver have any legal liability just because that driver was breaking a contract?

Realistically? None. It’s a low level employment contract for the most common job in the United States between an employer and employee. The company giving the job offer has nothing to do with it. Tortious interference doesn’t apply here. The driver has free will and isn’t property owned by Hirschbach.

But this isn’t about reality. It’s saying to the other trucking company giving the job offer “Hey bud, we keep lawyers on staff and, if you hire this guy, we will generate enough legal fakakda nonsense so that it costs you more than you’d make by hiring him.”

At-Will-Employment means that an employer can cut you loose at any time for most any reason. That isn’t a one way street. Employees can do the same. If the driver owes money that’s one thing, but trying to keep him from getting employment elsewhere is just simple douchebaggery.

That graphic designer needs to quit licking the Mickey Mouse and back away from his iMac until they are done tripping.

That’s hilarious. They’re threatening the New potential Employer. No way could they be held Liable. Must be a scare tactic, posted in the Lunchroom. They must think Drivers are very stupid to buy that BS. I’d have to quit after reading something like that. By the time they took Me to Court, probably have made enough to pay what, if any is Owed. Have money left over. What a Bunch of BS. Good Luck with that Lawsuit Ha Ha. I doubt a Judge would even hear such a case. Be nice if it backfires on them. They can’t be serious. I’m surprised they didn’t mention the Drivers “Permanent Record” Lol.
