    Note I haven't been fired
No bridge hit was first time noting it. Happen again afterwards. Second our safety person knew this happen at other centers & never bother warning anyone or having the mechanic check for issues.

But I measured my trailer before leaving the yard. I was under height.

So I have no gauges in my truck telling me anything about my air suspension. So how would you figure out that your suspension was over inflated while going down the road? Just wondering.

I mean do you measure where ur air bag sit when load & empty? Because I do a pretty good pre & post trip daily. And I do a over all inspection of my tractor & trailer after each delivery. But that one thing that never came up to look at. Just wondering how to go about knowing that? If I knew I was over height on my pre-trip I would've never left but I was sitting at 13'4" when I left the yard that morning. Didnt think emptying a trailer would raise it 4 inches. Never in my 7 years have that happen.

    Fixed that for you.

I would definitely consult with an attorney IF they do fire you. Your case has wrongful termination written all over it. Your employer knew (or should have known) that you were taking that route HUNDREDS of times and didn't have a problem with it, never counselled you or wrote you up then FIRES you when things go sideways because of something they KNEW was a problem but you wouldn't have? Yeah, that's a good decade of salary in a nice, tax-free, lump sum.

What ever happened to taking personal responsibility for your actions.....part of the trouble with the country anymore is "it's always someone elses fault, not mine"

I'm going to back out of this conversation now. I think everything I can add to it has already been added. If you lose your job, there are other carriers that will hire you. @Chinatown will be along soon asking where do you live. I will add this one thing. Bridges are an occupational hazard for truckers, especially when off the main highways. There is no excuse for hitting one, regardless of what you may read in here. I have had to slow run under many bridges during my career. I have also walked in front of drivers while they drove under one. Anyway, I wish you well, however, this ends. Good luck and have a good Christmas!

One of those feel good slogans that fell out of favor when people started trying to stick it where it didn't apply like, "Obey thy master" or, "Work will make you free".

Did you receive a ticket for this?
Will the bridge need to be inspected ?

The idea that bridges are not marked accurately kinda freaks me out.
