hey guys so i have this high hollow whistle type noise coming from engine when the rpms are high and sometime when manifold pressure is close to 30 psi. Its a cummins isx15 with 420,000 miles on it. You can hear it clearly at 3 sec and 25 sec mark in video

I didn't hear it well, but turbos make a screeching noise when they go south. Is oil dripping out the bottom of the turbo? If the bearing goes, it usually takes out the seal.

No oil dripping . No oil pressure or power loss. .does the bad engine belt make that noise too ?

Could be a bearing noise from alternator or idle pulley also.

Connect Bluetooth to radio you can hear the sound better.

It may be a bit intimidating, but nothing will happen. Open the hood, and find the throttle or have someone rev the motor, and listen to the motor. ( be careful of the fan) You might hear it, only quieter. Probably not a turbo, more likely a pulley or belt tensioner like snowy sez.

Like my old boss once said.
“Keep going, it’ll show itself eventually then you can fix it.”

I think that too. Going to change both belts and pulley today . If it still happens turbo is coming off. And one more thing this sound is pretty loud with jake brake on full with one lower gear .

I’ve also heard, “If you’re not tearing something up, you’re not working.”

That's an old farmer saying, "if it doesn't break, you ain't workin", and it's true. Farmers go from one break down to the next.
