Does anyone know if what I was told is true. In Texas if you fail your road test for a cdl That they not only revoke your permit but also take your regular DL?
Hopefully this is the right place to ask this question

They also give you a fine and if you are unable to pay it on the spot you go to jail for not more than one year.

dont know about anywhere else....but in Cali ...if you fail the air brake test....................."you ARE the weakest link....buh-bye" Do not pass go, do not collect $200 (automatic fail, then you need to schedule another appointment) -
I got my Class A in TX and if you can parallel park the driving test is a walk in the park. Never heard of them pulling your other license.

They don't take your drivers license, but they do take your personal vehicle.Pmracing Thanks this. -
If you fail the CDL test, you're never heard from again. I heard it from a driver trainer over at Swift. He told me that, before becoming the world's greatest driver trainer, he'd been a Navy SEAL and knew things so top secret, the NSA would kill my whole family if I even found out his name. So you know it's a reliable source.
Pmracing Thanks this.
