I always thought it was the company headquarters too, otherwise a company would have drivers logging anywhere from Eastern to Pacific time.

Now I suppose at a place like Swift, they are at liberty to make everybody run MST if they wanted, even their northeast fleets. Just so long as it's all consistent.

My terminal was Indianapolis which is Eastern time zone. didn’t matter.
I liked that because my county is one of the 9 in Indiana that observes Central Time. -
With most of the megas using a 3rd party company to aggregate things like fuel and toll receipts YOU MUST be on the same time as these entries are. If not your going to have a hell of a lot of faults. I don't care if your on local terminal or grannys kitchen time, they MUST match. You should be told what time to log during orientation. I am confused as to why this is even a thing.
Just passing by and x1Heavy Thank this. -
If you have 3hrs left on your 11 and gain hours at midnight, you still only have those 3hrs to drive.
You DO gain the hours at midnight, but you can't use them until you take a legal break.
If you didn't have enough hours when you started to run a full 11.. whatever you gain at midnight will add to the previous days total to let you complete an 11hr driving shift.
That's what I got out of your question.
I may be way off base on what you really wanted... but it's still true. -
I was at another company which had its headquarters in Wisconsin. I logged Central Time on my logs even though my home terminal was Livermore CA
x1Heavy Thanks this. -
