    That's pretty neat.

Ty for that precision you demonstrated. I love it for that.

I think the 34 was in 2003 roughly, you could be right at 2004. I got out in 2001-2002 area.

Despite this, there are posters who still claim that their mega carrier made them log based on where the headquarters were, not their terminal was. You would think these carriers would know better!

And a lot of companies think they're special and would make their drivers drive as long as they want them to, and insist that they're safe doing so.

My third paragraph dealt with how the rolling hours allowed him to keep moving at midnight.
I see how the opening statement caused confusion.

What I meant was... if he gained hours at midnight and wasn't rolling because he was currently on a break, he'd have to finish said break before those hours were eligible.

If he started his shift at 9pm with 3hrs on his 70 and gained at midnight... then he could keep rolling seamlessly.

Here is a copy of my logbook from my old company. It didn't matter if you were domiciled out of Atlanta, Dallas or Commerce City California, they wanted us to all log Central Time Zone on our logbooks. domicile1.jpg

I think this entire discussion is moot today. With the exception of drive a way and broken e-log systems drivers are using e-logs. However no matter. In today's world when a driver farts it is time and location stamped. Disregard everything you have heard about what time zone to log. You had better be logging what ever time your company has instructed you to log in. Almost every large and medium size company today uses a 3rd party company with log enforcement. This means if you buy fuel at 8PM EST and your on CDT you had better be logging this at 7PM. I think they allow 15 minutes before it becomes a fault. STOP worrying about what the FMCSA rules are. Log according to time you are instructed to log. If the FMCSA has an issue they will address it with the company.

My home terminal is Otay Mesa, CA - San Diego. My logs run in the Pacific time zone.
If I switched my terminal to where I live in MN my logs would be done in Central time.

At Swift we log in our home terminal time zone.

I'll be honest, my home terminal, division hq and corporate are all in the same time zone, so it wouldn't matter to me which is correct, they're all the same.

And I'm still on paper, so I better get it right.
