The hot hose on my trailer leaks a lot of air at the pipe end. It was leaking at the blower end to, but I changed the gasket at both ends and that end stop leaking. But, it didn't help the pipe end. I have to smack it with my rubber mallet once I get the blower going (and feel where the leak is). Once I get it smacked square it stops.
I'm guessing it's the pipe fitting that needs to be replaced?

Or the hose end needs new ears to make it seal, they can wear out. The male connection [A-nut] doesn't usually fail while the ears and the shape of the female end can warp and wear out.

Smacking a pressurized hose or fittings are bad ideas safety 101.

I think I’ll try changing them. Not like there’s anything to lose. -
I used to carry a shim made from a piece of excess band clamp. Worked great.
intrepidor, Suspect Zero, tucker and 2 others Thank this. -
Try turning the hose a little, If you're locking it on at the same place every time it may wear a bit in that area.

flip the hose [if you can] 180 and try the other end on the trailer line.

Apparently, the fitting on the trailer is the issue. Shop said they’re gonna cut it off and weld a new one on.
speedyk Thanks this.
