I just ran a set to PA. Saw a bunch of ABF sets headed north in 81.. a few New Penn vans and a few UPSF sets and one OD set.. more LTL on the road than I expected to see tonight.

    McUzi and jtaran06 Thank this.

21 stops? That's quite a compelling amount of stops. You known and followed my posts long enough that if you rewound three years back I was gripping very publicly about doing 25-32 stops a day due to a driver shortage we had at Reddaway. Windshield is bigger than my mirrors so I am all about moving forward and not looking back.

Glad you are keeping busy friend. I think I had 8 bills for 5 stops last Friday. .it's nice for a change. Stay safe out there Mack.

Dayton did a bunch too. I seen on another thread ups freight was laying off some locations as well. Not looking good no matter who’s names on the door.

I know a guy who was laid off at UPS Freight well before any of this mess even started. I can't imagine how it is now.

Freight was already slow and my barn (@ DFL) already had unfilled road bids that they chose not to fill during the winter. Now we have two furloughed on linehaul and five furloughed in the city, all senior drivers. Nobody forced as of yet at my place. Some terminals are unscathed and others are hit pretty hard, depending on business levels.

    jtaran06 Thanks this.

Yep, just watched the video that was emailed to us, our new CEO touched on the voluntary furloughs, well that won't last long, the majority of the employees are not going to want to take furloughs, and I don't blame them because I am one of them, I think voluntary will turn to mandatory in a short amount of time .
