I'm on the bottom city in Eastern Washington. I'm getting 32-37 hours a week. A lot of older guys are taking days off to help out...or so I'm told. All I know is that along with low hours they're really cracking down on all the little things and it's making it difficult to enjoy working there.
How’s the LTL sector doing where you’re at?

SC/Holland. All of our linehaul guys moved off of layoff status. There are 7 of us P&D guys on extra board status but we are expecting to be back on bids within the next two weeks when we resume normal capacity.
Hope that helps.McUzi Thanks this. -
Chicago area seems to be pretty busy. P&D drivers are working around 40hrs/week (down from 50-60 hrs last year).
I’m linehaul and haven’t sat a day yet...There is even weekend work available.McUzi, MACK E-6 and Bob Dobalina Thank this. -

I’m at 43 hours this week and I still have Friday. I do extra dock work sometimes though. Without the dock work I’d be at around 39-40 for the week so far. Average is around 45-50.

I just read an article about the ports on the West coast already suffering from the shortage of loads coming in on overseas cargo ships. Container drivers are starting to suffer out there. It's a slow rolling deal, but it almost certainly will affect us at some point. Hopefully only temporarily.
Coffey, Mike2633 and Texas_hwy_287 Thank this. -

it is slow for city guys/gals, but nothing abnormal for this time of year. as usual, i can’t buy a day off on linehaul.Mike2633 Thanks this.
