Seems you guys aren't the only ones with stuff sitting while drivers remain in furlough.

That’s a lot, but I have the type of run where usually on those days everything is in and out.

    Yesterday’s 17 actually took longer.

Are those all peddle runs ready to go, or inbound linehaul loads?

Little bit of both plus at least one trailer of returns. They are going to have their hands full come Monday when they pile on the stuff that is coming in over the weekend.

I have some mixed feelings on that question. It really depends what your company supports. If you are doing alot of factory freight, it shouldn't be too much of a gap before things are normal.

Food industry is not looking so good if the schools and ballparks stay closed. They are anticipating that 25% of restaurants may not reopen again. And with all this social distancing, there aren't many business models out there that let you make a profit at a forced reduced seating capacity. With a 3-6% profit margin, you need to have every table filled to stay ahead of your costs. I might be completely wrong but I am not too optimistic on the food industry.

We are getting hammered right now. Due to still having furloughed drivers and things picking back up, several of us have been doing extended runs. I've had 1,850 miles in just 3 nights so far this week.
