I have been driving this road daily for the last week. Some moron today had his tires locked up. No joke these marks went on for over five miles. About three miles in a tire or two blew and was all over the road but the marks continued. Eventually they turned off the highway on to a gravel road and no telling how far they went down it. I bet the steering wheel holder didn't realize it until he got to his destination.

They don't notice because they aren't looking in their mirrors (they don't bother to see if the tires are actually spinning), don't have their radio on (and can't hear me telling them their brakes are locked up) and are likely driving an auto (so the hammer is down and they don't care about that extra pull on the trailer).

It's staggering to think of how some drivers even get their licenses these days. When I hooked up to an empty trailer in our yard this winter, and a single brake was frozen, I could feel it before even visually confirming. And this was on mostly packed snow (they just slid gracefully on the ice mind you, lol).

On an unrelated note. I hate frozen brakes with a fiery passion.

@Bdog alternative is that he did notice
In the present world you have drivers who really don't care.

I'm sure that driver felt that. Typical steering wheel holder. Here comes the super trucker.

There's a spot on I-10 on the Eastbound side-just East of Desert Center, that has the same marks for miles, until you see where the tire blows and the skid marks go to the shoulder.

I passed a dry van on I81S going through Scranton that was dragging the tires on the rear axle. I got the attention of the lady that was driving the day cab as I pulled alongside. She waved and indicated that she knew about it, and it was no big deal.

    smh...

On sr35 near WCH, OH there is a drag Mark for a good mile. Funny this came up because I've Deen by there a few times this week wondering how one axle could all of a sudden lock.
