You know what those side windows in a ProStar are good for? Being able to look at the scenery in your bunk when try truck decided to break down in an area out of cell phone range.

Well, I tried to make a hat out of it so the CIA wouldn't read my thoughts, but it gave me a headache...:biggrin_1square7:

Coffin?these were coffins, spent 15 years sleeping in this running back and forth cross country back in the 70's and 80's.34" wide on the outside,29" wide on the inside, and you crawled back and forth through the hole where the back window was.No heat or ac in there, either, just an aluminum coffin bolted on the back of a cab.Have a hard time listening to people complain about todays sleepers.

So cool... I just had a small flash back to riding to Chicago as a child with my dad driving in a truck with a crawl through bunk... I thought it was the coolest thing at the time... I highly doubt I would have the same opinion now if I had to use that for a bed night after night.

    Thanks for the fond flashback.

Fond memories here too, and then good memories of when dad had the BIG Marmon. I have a polaroid here somewhere. I will see if I can find it sometime soon and post it.

Guess he hasn't seen to many areo cab kenworths mid roofs you can get them with rear and side and always top windows right sleeper window good for blind siding otherwise good for nothing but letting heat in or cold in depending on season. And if your worried about a view you aint making money then.

    TruckDuo Thanks this.

No I drive so much that I burn out my 70 and take a 34 restart on the weekend which feels like three full days so I can drive another 70 hours. While I am back there it would be nice to look out. Though I understand the trucker mentallity of having nothing and being happy with that. I like upgrades.

    TruckDuo and MidWest_MacDaddy Thank this.
