‘Hot Shot Secret’? I know it was advertised big time years ago on the overnight trucker radio programs. Anybody ever try it?

The day they truly invent mechanic in a can….gonna be tool boxes for sale.

There are 2 sides to electronic injectors. The electronic side which if it has a fault will set a code etc.

The mechanical side has no connection really to the electronic side other than touching it. May cause one to fail a cylinder balance test or cut out test but won’t set a code. It’s also the only part that any fuel treatment of any kind has any hope of helping.

Try using diesel additives, changing the fuel filter regularly, they are the only options you'll have without physically removing them. The issue with refueling at fuel stations is your at their mercy as to the quality of fuel you will get, whereas at a depot fuel farm they can put fuel filters on the pump to help restrict the kind of dirt, water and other contaminants getting into the fuel tanks and on into the fuel pumps and injectors.

IMG_1810.jpeg I’ve gotten a few injectors codes a few times spread apart. Truck still was running fine. I cleared them several times with my OTR Tool and they never came back. Those are considered what they call “ghost codes”. Btw, I run Diesel Kleen for an additive, about every 3rd or 4th fill up. Just for maintenance and a peace of mind at my cost.

I use it on a regular bases on my truck. I used it on my old truck and it had 600K plus miles on it when I first used it. When I used it in that truck it was running a little rough and after the first tank of it it ran smoother. I would say that stuff works pretty good for me.

Kinda off topic, but I've got fuel dripping out the back side of my turbo so I'm thinking a bad injector; if you change one injector, would you change all of them?

Put a quart of Automatic transmission fluid in fuel tank, not the synthetic kind,
    It’ll burn carbon off injectors.

    Old timer tip of day.

Used to itd make one smoke a bit cleaning injector,

My dad used to do that with our tractors (Versatiles - Cummins motors)...
