Maybe consider moving to a state that doesn't tax personal income.
Three popular ones for truckers are Florida, Texas, Nevada.

Loads of help already China. Gonna wrap this up and get to researching with the info you have given me. If theres anything else lay it on me please. Would a dedicated run with stops. Allow us to do less driving and make the same ammount?
Also if we join one of these companies. Is there a referal you would like me to put in?Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
No referrals.
One more though and @TravR1 works there.
FFE (Frozen Food Express) runs teams and from what TravR1 posts, the Plasma Account is the best paying.
I'm sure they hire in your area because there's a terminal in New Jersey.

Jesus you're making less than half what you should be.
That whole 11cpm per diem coming out of your base pay is complete bs. It should be on top of your base pay. And what in the hell is a charge for housing allowance?Rideandrepair and Chinatown Thank this. -
The good news is you can move on now, 23 yrs old and running Team with your Wife, you’ll be banking some serious cash, soon enough. Teams ere always in high demand. I wish you both best of Luck. Chinatown is the Man, for Company info.

Sounds like they set up a jacked operation. Under 23, so in state only, but paid it like an OTR truck.
Get out of that, almost any company will pay twice what your getting now. -

There are a bunch of these "short" run team moves taking place in the industry.
I have a couple H&W teams that do 2300 miles a week, they sit and wait for the product and move it as fast as possible to the consignee's other location to be processed as needed, leaving the trailer there for a couple days, then do an empty move back to wait for more. by the time the other team gets back to their manufacturing plant, half the product is made so as It comes off the line, right into the truck, once it is full, it is ... zoom ... they are off.
This is one of two contracts I have, the other one is pretty much the same way but just a little longer distance.
