    UHHHH, NO!!

You can call your area Highway Patrol office or State Police and "drop a dime" on the "company" about how the "manager" or whomever INSTRUCTED You to ignore a proper pretrip, along with relevant d.o.t. number, company name, address, other.
That might get some attention, might not and it's no longer your concern.
Just wait 2-3 weeks after you're gone.

Yeah lol I remember stuffing my keys and safety vest through the office mail slot after one day of orientation. It was like 10pm and I was laying in bed thinking “Do I really want to be doing this l for these kinds of people” nope. Packed up my stuff drove to the yard shoved the #### through the opening and drove two hours back home.

“ghosting isn’t right” my man they don’t give a heads up when they fire you do they? No.

I'd tell them in person I'm not driving their horse #### equipment.

I’m an A-hole and always wanted to walk away and say nothing but I couldn’t help myself and had to tell them how bad they sucked and everything they were doing wrong. LOL

Ghosting is what you do when the situation is so much a waste of time you don't want to give another second.

Phone call and letter would have been my advice. I wouldn't have bothered doing it in person because a place like that sounds too shady. Better that you have complete control of the situation when you tell them that they suck and you won't work for a sucky company.

Why not just be honest? Don't understand all the other methods explained here in this thread outside of just being honest. Besides, if they hear it from enough folks over time, maybe they will take it to heart and actually do something about it. Honesty is always the best policy IMO. Plus, if honesty and/or confrontation is something that is difficult for you, it gives you an opportunity to walk through it and get better at it. If roles were reversed, and you were the employer, what would you want or hope the driver would do with you? Then act accordingly.

I tried that , tried explaining why I left , I asked for an exit interview and they refused .
They had zero interest in leaning why I was leaving after one day on the job , and did not seem to mind having spent money on my drug test , aptitude test and orientation .
