Sometimes I get the finger even tho I've done nothing wrong... Guess my big ol' truck is a nuisance to these 4 wheelers that are in a BIG hurry!

I don't respond to their friendly gestures, but occasionally I will smile back at them. Lol

How do you respond to the overwhelming love out there on the highway?

It usually reminds me it's time to test my train horns to make sure they're still working properly.

I used to have a red clown nose I carried in the car. When someone flipped me off or was just miserable and angry, I'd put it on and smile at them. Always diffused the situation, regardless of how upset they were.

I lay on them horns and get all excited. Like my dog when I get home from work.

Honk at me you get the train horn.
Give me the finger and I return that package back to sender. And maybe switch into your lane 'without seeing you in my blind spot'.

Really came in expecting to read a post about how someone doesn't know they've been flipped off because they're too busy on their phone

Wish I had a dollar each time I get flipped the bird. I used to let it bother me. Now its like an old song that I never really liked and just learned to phase it out when it comes on the radio.

Sometimes you have to take that slap on the face to be the bigger man.

    I just wave and smile.

But I get flipped off daily because I drive slow.

Today it was a container hauler who was doing 70 in a 55 on Southfield freeway, he tried to get around me three times but finally did and flipped me off.

I think about what just happened, and why. Did I do wrong, did it LOOK like I did wrong, did I do anything to cause such discontent ?
Actually, I think it has only happened to me about 3 times in the last year. Once was certainly my fault ( forgot to sweep dirt from flatbed after unloading, motorcycle got behind me and ate the grit flying off the trailer ), another time changed lanes to avoid something in road the four wheeler could not see, and then once for no reason other than the four wheeler thought I should be faster.
So, I do analyze each incident later, but I never even acknowledge what the flipper did to the flippee (me) at that time. That could cause a major mal-function.
