i'm pretty sure they are already tracking this. There is no way a government agency is going to leave that goldmine of data alone.

Same old deal. We're looking for ways to circumvent the law, they're looking for ways to catch us. It never ends.

Just let them change the laws.
I hope they put it at 45.
    Everyone will.
no not everyone, most will park their truck, say we need to drop insurance costs, since we’re traveling safe, well below posted limit, and what used to take 3 days to deliver, will now take 4-5.
Livestock included this time, as they’re going to have to unload and let graze.

I’m tired of their empty threats.
They were begging for truckers help not long ago, now you’re back to not being worthy to step on the same ground as them.

As I read it they can't restrict every truck since some cannot be restricted. So how would they know if your truck was one without? I remember Canadians talking about this to me back in the day that they had workarounds to the speed limiter in Canada.

There were speed restricters put on on mechanical trucks by the company when the national 55 mph went in.
87 up can be programed in.

Well what I meant was if they have a speed limit for trucks and everyone is supposed to be limited and your particular truck is supposed to be limited and it's not limited what are they going to do to you?

I don't mean you in particular I just mean in general.

What is the current issue with speeding? Is it 20 mi over they take your license?

So if you have a truck that's supposed to be governed under the mandate and they find that truck speeding do they take your license? Do they give you like a bazillion points or something? Do they put you out of service for a certain period of time or ???

I would imagine the trucks that they can't limit are going to be older trucks. I would think any truck past a certain age would not be limited and anything newer would be limited.

Hey who knows but my thing is that I think if they found a truck that was supposed to be governed and they caught it speeding I would think whatever they would do to the owner of that truck would be pretty horrific because the owner intentionally disabled it.

And knowing how our government works, they very well may say to whomever disabling that is the same as disabling your ABS brakes. You violated safety and now you will pay.

You know how the nonsense goes.

I’ll retire before either (A) this is implemented or (B) when it is implemented. I’ve got what I hope is one more year and I’m outta here. Biden and Buttgag can shove it.

Wait for the self driving mandate, or the no more combustion trucks mandate. Or just civil war 2.
