As a flatbed driver, we have to stop every 150 miles. But if I'm empty, I can do atleast 400 before stopping to take a rest break
Chewy352 and Dominick253 Thank this. -
I once drove 11 hours straight when teaming. Had to piss so bad by the time I got to the change over t/s, that I've never done it again. Covered some 700 miles in that night coming across 40 in NM, TX, OK. Fun times.
Dominick253 Thanks this. -

I push my valves, Curse DOT because 8hrs is almost up. Curse further cause 15 minutes more down the road was better place to stop. Pull Valves, get out, drain thine self, grab something cold to drink, attempt to find food. If food is acquired get frustrated after 1 minute of waiting for food. Go back to truck, stare at stupid clock for 25 minutes straight.
Then push valves again, blink, 3hrs have passed and all the truck stops are full cause you just ended your shift in the witching hour, and everyone is still crammed into the truck stops like spam.
So settle on a parking spot on the rest area ramp, stare at ceiling still not ready to sleep.
Eat sleep run repeat, you can do it or you can't. If you can't then don't push yourself.
Get good food, get good sleep and be born with a bladder that isn't tiny. Keep your mind alert and thinking.
IDK,,, I'm wired for it, no tricks, genetic monster.
