I’ve seen them at Sapp Bros truck stops, but those things are not cheap. You can buy a fridge from Wally for like $125 and cheaper if purchased before school starts (Jan and Aug).
How do you keep your battery from going dead with refrigerator running?

Engle makes the best one, hands down.
I have a new rv, I am pulling out the brand new dometic fridge out, and putting in a samsung French door fridge.LoneRanger and PE_T Thank this. -
Never had an Engle but what is the power consumption vs the dometic at 12v? I’m currently running mine off 12v and it has a freezer.

Just plug a battery charger into the inverter, it should keep the battery charged.

Hahahaha thanx I needed that!PE_T and frito bandito Thank this.

I used to keep 4 two-liter water bottles in the bottom of my household 5 cubic foot freezer. Helped stabilize temperatures quite nicely during outages.

Before you head out into the woods with your family to enjoy camping, you must anticipate how long you will be running your refrigerator on battery. The majority of domestic refrigerators, depending on their size, run on a battery that may last at least 5 to 8 hours.

I never leave mine running like that. I only take what I need for the run and bring anything left over back home with me.
