I've lived in S. Ca. most of my life so driving long distance to get to work is "normal". An hour one way pretty normal. I've driven 45 min to work, get my truck and then drive hour and half to job site BEFORE i'm on the clock. (dirt work) And that's leaving the yard getting onto 91 fwy in Corona at 4 AM. Me and 150,000 other commuters ! There are fools around here who commute 2 hrs one way. I knew a guy who commuted from San Diego to L.A. daily to get to work. Palmdale into L.A. or Victorville into L.A. ! Temecula into San Diego ! I did Hemet into San Marcos for 4 years. 59 mi, hour and 5 min.

Transferring to a hub so I can eventually get on a day run. My 6 miles will turn into 36. But I feel it will be worth it in the long run. Plus the 1.50 on the hourly and 3 cents on the mileage raise will make up for the tank of gas a week I’ll be using.
