How hard is it to get a CDL license? Do you think it's still worth it?

Thanks. That's what I was thinking. It seems like an opportunity where I can make a legit living and not bust my ### for years at school, etc...

Think about it, you get the CDL. You get paid to go through training. While you’re going through Orientation most companies will pay you to travel to them. They will pay for your hotel and pay for your meals. While you’re training you’ll make about 60% or so of what you do as a full-time driver. What other job does that? Then you get through whatever it is three weeks a month of training. And you’re assigned your own truck. With the rates are what they are now, you should easily be able to clear $1200 a week. Probably more than that. Lots of companies will offer you anywhere from $3000 to $10,000 if you stay with them a year. You can realistically make $60,000 your first year well on your way to 80,000 in your second or third year. Where else in America can you do that? I’ll tell you where, nowhere. Lol

    That does sound pretty sweet.

In comparison the other jobs I can think of around here are basically 15-20 dollar an hour jobs at best that either require you to be in a factory or social with customers all day.

I think my particular area may have gotten a bit more expensive over the years but I'd guess it really depends on the area. I'm sure some more rural suburbs areas can be pretty cheap but the more popular ones expensive. I don't have price specifics personally though as I don't own a house myself.
