Your corpse will one day be found in your cab with a tarp cunningly bungeed into place in order to put the exhaust in your window...
Not a threat, but #%###@ the people that do this, never fails, find nice quiet spot in 65 degree weather, open windows, fall asleep, wake up 4 hrs later to 2 people parked next to me usually a screeching reefer on stop start and an apu louder than than the archangel's trumpets
How hard is it to sleep in a reefer truck for light sleepers?

The mind and body adjust rather quickly I believe. There is an app called Calm in the App Store that is awesome in helping me get to sleep as it relaxes the mind. Depending on your set up, (pillows, blankets, what you've eaten throughout the day, temperature in cab, etc., I think it's pretty easy to get to sleep. The reefer kicking in will simply become a part of your cycle and you'll start to ignore it a way. Safe driving and Good Sleeps.

I was at transam and got one of those 'drop dead ' time loads, and was out in noman's land when the reefer quit. Turns out that somebody (wasn't me!) had put too much oil in it, and I guess that really did a lot of damage to that unit.

FWIW, sleeping NEXT to a reefer unit is worse than sleeping AHEAD of one.

Does ANYBODY still use those things? They were designed to keep old 2-stroke Detroit Diesels from running backwards. There is absolutely no reason for them today! The one california kid Thanks this.
