Where is your location? Several flatbed companies will probably hire you.

To be honest, this incident sounds super minor, and it was 2 years ago. If this is your only issue with your driving record, I'd say you have a good shot of being hired with most companies. Don't let the naysayers get you down!

I'm new to trucking so can't offer any real advice.

But, I will say that I had little trouble getting a job with Schneider with an accident about a year and a half ago. No prior trucking experience, the accident was my fault (got distracted by passenger, no other vehicles involved), and nothing else on my record since 2008. They did ask to see a copy of the police report to verify what I was telling them. So might be best to not try to lie about the accident when talking to any companies you apply to as they might do the same.

If you lie about the accident and they find out, you can probably say goodbye to the job. But if your honest, they might still hire you. Go into as much detail as possible when telling them about it.

Look at the positives you bring... No drug history, no arrests or convictions. Already you are on the top half of your class! A minor ticket when you were a teenager should not be a problem. I would apply to whatever comany you think is a good match for you. Bring up the fender bender in the interview so you can explain it. Your mvr is almost perfect.....you will do fine!

As was said, your age could be a problem. If it is, a couple more years will take care of it. If you can't get into what you want, try looking at some of the less "desirable" local jobs, aggregate/constructon. . .That way you will still be using your Class A, and these outfits often will hire younger folks.
