How many days is acceptable to go without a shower?

To go without a shower. Assuming you like to shower and if you could, would shower every day? What’s your limit? What’s your record?

7. Sitting in a truck, climate controlled, not doing a dang thing except holding a steering wheel, and maybe sometimes opening a door. What's the point?
Clean skivvies and t shirt and socks every day, though.

Last gig in Texas it was shower every day.

 

every day is possible. I would say 2 days is pushing it. You got take 10 off every night basically so just shower before bed or in morning. Getting unlimited showers status at truck stop makes even more easy. You can take 2 same day if you want.

 

They got me on this Home Depot local flatbed account and I now have 2 trucks and live in the parking lot at Home Depot. They’re trying to squeeze every second out of my clock and I don’t have time to get to a shower doing what they are asking. Yeah it’s been a week since I’ve showered and then want me to sleep in the parking lot again tonight. I don’t think I can do it.

 

It depends on a lot of factors. If you're a true long haul driver, a shower will come every other day at best. Other factors include the following:

1.Did a customer, another driver, or someone at the fuel desk spray or complain once you left?

2. How long can you go before you smell your own ###?

3. How many times a week did you rub one out?

4. Is it the middle of summer or winter?

5. Are you going to hook up with a nice lady?

 

2 days max without wetwipes. 3 with wipes and thats pushing it hard. That said its rare i go more then 2 without a shower. And that usually because something dumb like spent night at rest area then the shower was broken at where ever i stopped.

As for your dispatch if they treat you that badly tell the. I need a #### shower, if they get mad. Find a new job. Your a person not a sack of meat.

 

You know, you can take a shower in the middle of the day.....actually about the best time to do it
