On meals and other out of pocket expenses, lets say you are somewhat of a frugal person that foregoes the fancy stuff.

I don't count groceries since I load up my fridge at home but a $5 bill will last me all week

I will usually spend about a hundred a week. I always stock up at the grocery store and try to avoid eating out as much as possible.

$100-$200 . . . I'll take some food, buy some liquids , and eat out some too.

When we teamed we ate a lot in the truck - now I'm solo, I got a bit lazy on it.

It's important to build a routine that keeps you healthy and gives you an expectation of what you will spend.

For me, I go to Walmart and buy several gallons of water, Clif bars in bulk, and those ready to eat pouches of tuna. I eat a bar for breakfast and tuna for lunch and have plenty of hydration for about $25 a week. This is also only ingesting about 400 calories before dinner.

For dinner, I'll eat at a diner up to four or five times a week and maybe have a can of soup with hummus and pita bread on the other nights.

This works for me and I spend right around $100 a week on food while keeping my calorie count under 2500 per day.

$100-$200 weekly is about right, usually $20 per day for 2 meals, and coffee.shopping walmart and stocking the truck, will save you at least 50 percent, but is not always possible,as some are difficult to get into and out of.

I eat once a day, and can easily keep that right around $10.00. I work 5 days a week and home on weekends....so about $50.00 a week.
I fill my own water jugs at home each week, but I like to take a case of Diet Pepsi to have one a day. So add $6.00 every few weeks for the soda pop.

The Copenhagen budget goes into overdrive when I am driving. When not driving a can will last me 3-4 days. When driving its 1 can a day.

I guess it saves on the food some though the more I dip the less I eat.

If you want frugal, that's me. I always would bring an ice chest filled with food made at home. Mostly sandwiches, fruits & homemade smoothies that way I tried to stay healthy. Sometimes would bring a couple batches of soup I cooked up the night before & would use the truck stop microwaves to heat them up on my breaks. I gave up buying sodas years ago, so water cost was cheap as I always brought a couple gallons for $1 each (individual bottles are too pricey) from Dollar tree or Walmart, just added some lemon, no sugar. Sometimes made my own coffee in the mornings using coffee bags(they are like tea bags, made by Folgers) I found them to be quick & easy to make using the free hot water knobs on the truck stop coffee machines.
