But you only have a 401 statement..not the actual cash.
When I die, the govt will spend more, getting rid of my used items, then their worth.
Im hard on my toys, and enjoy every day, like its my last..you never know when your time is up.
You guys really think a company is matching funds to help you?
    Lolol

I bank $500 weekly, live on $200, rest goes to bills.
Save $5000, buy a bike, or a boat, or a trip to Hawai.
Maybe it would be smarter to buy $20 bags of beef jerkey at pilot?

I've stuck to the idea that "rich" or "wealthy" are interchangeable depending on how you look at it. I am one of them because I have a beautiful family that loves me and I love them. I will be the other when and only when I am completely debt free. Cash is king. 401K is only as good as long as the company is getting a good deal for offering it. Don't be surprised when they sell it to another provider and you loose "money". They have to offer it to attract employees but its a cost to them and they will treat it as such. Save and invest on your own, with guidance if you need it. My $0.02.

15 to 20k a year goes into the retirement fund. Leaves me with about 40k to spend on mortgage, all other bills, roulette and blackjack and poker, junk in the truck stop and hookers and blow. Life's good.
