How much should I get paid an hour for touch freight

    Boy one time they told me I had to be pallet jack certified in the state of Texas. That’s not even a real thing, but whatever. I hopped on a forklift and unloaded 50 pallets from the van in like 15 minutes. Swift wouldn’t pay me the driver unload pay, but the look on the lumper faces and the time I saved, was payment enough.

    They still tried to charge 200 bucks to restack a pallet after that lol

    If we're talking about a position where your primary title is "OTR driver" and paid by the mile, then I think you should not be making any less per hour then you would have if you were driving for 60 minutes on the open road. Because you should not be beating up your body "off the clock" so if you're On Duty, this is time no longer available for Drive time earnings.
