How to change employment report from termination to mutual separation?

My husband and I have a situation that we need opinion on how we can solve it. We drove for Kennesaw transportation as team until Friday early morning. This is how it started. On Thursday early morning around 5:00 - 6:00 I can feel while sleeping that my husband was busy changing trailer after he delivered a load at fresh express in Georgia, I found out that the only empty trailer available at fresh express has 3 damage tires so he informed dispatched drove and dropped off the trailer at the company yard in Rydal, ga. At 1:30 pm our load was finally ready so no money was made in between 5:30 am till 1:30 pm but trying to do what is right but of course the loaded trailer we picked up has questionable tires not just 1 but 3 so off we go again to the company yard to get it fixed but on our way to the yard another trucker missed his turn in I-75 N and was trying to make a left turn from the right lane blocking the intersection. 2 rounds of lights went off and we didn't get a green light so my husband got out from the truck while I was behind the wheel to inform the Lady in front of us that she needs to go forward to trigger the light so we can go because the trucker surely can't.... So the Lady move forward just to trigger the line for a green a light but this trucker on the right lane kept on inching while the lady was trying to do what she needs to be done so my husband got out again and informed the trucker who were on the wrong lane on what the lady is doing so he'll stop inching. Mind you there was pile of cars behind us and the other truck and if someone is not paying attention that truck driver is trying to make a left turn from the right lane, somebody could crash behind him. So we finally got a green light and off we went to the yard and then shop told us that tires depth are still good so no need to change it....the shop word was it doesn't matter if u see irregularities on tires as long as the depth are still good u don't need to come in because the company are trying to save money so we said, that was a waste of time so off we went for California but then when I was in missippi I received a message that they want us swap our load and deliver a load to morrow,ga in the morning because safety wants to talk to us after delivering a load. At around 8:30 a.m we went to safety office and nobody wants to talk to us so we suspected that we must done something really bad only jen responded that the person who wanted to talk to us will probably in an hour or so so we patiently waited. At 9:30 we went back in the office and of course we were told to wait at the lobby. 15 mins passed I was ready to leave and pack but hubby said let's wait for another 15 so that's what we did and they finally called us in the office after treating us like children. Then we found out that the trucker who were at fault yesterday called on us , and i asked for what? For helping him not to get ticket blocking the intersection? The safety woman who never driven a truck told us that the decision was made and our story doesn't matter anymore because the decision was made but you can still your story because the president who preached Jesus love and forgiveness daily doesnt wanna listen to her driver but to the stranger. But now we found out that unless Kennesaw will change the word "termination" we can't get hired in 6 months to 1 year as we start calling for a job. Mind u nobody got hurt, no damage on their equipment, we deliver their load safety and brought their truck back in really good condition. Their was no warning just cut us off. We tried to call Kennesaw to change the wordings they put on our employment record to "mutual separation" from "termination" so we can move on but they won't pick up the phone nor return on us. What should we do? How could they call it termination if we delivered their load that day?

They even put on my record because I was married to the person they terminated. The ground of termination who doesnt make sense. Yes, we understand the safety issues because my husband got out from the truck but me?i was behind the wheel.We called their company chaplain who said during orientation that he's their to help, what a liar! And no one will pick up the phone but a nice girl their in safety a true Christian who doesn't that much power and she only update us that they won't changed it even it means ruining someon's livelihood that's how Christian they are. Yes we asked for legal advice.

That's a silly reason to terminate someone. Sounds like they were just looking for an excuse so they didn't have to be 'the bad guy'. I don't think you'll have to wait 6 months if you keep job hunting. Team drivers are hard to come by, especially an established team, so just keep looking around.
