Well here's My Plan being a Company Driver for 19 Years, and this being my First Time being an O/O.

My Experience has showed me that Coast to Coast Runs are the Most Productive.

And as Far as Regional goes ? The Midwest has always kept me moving.

Now my Plan is to Run Coast to Coast. because I'm Safely Assuming that Most Drivers Run Regionally, because they want to stay close to Home.

And I will also to Try to get to The Border Towns ( Especially Laredo ) Since that's where Most of The Freight comes out of Mexico.

Every time I've gone to a Border town ( Especially Laredo ).

I've Never had to wait more that my 10 hour Break for a Load.

Am I in the Ball Park as Far as My Assumptions ?

    Keep on Truckin'.....

The most profitable are regional loads based on the season.
The coast to coast are the least profitable, unless you are willing to deal with partials.

Coast to Coast runs only work great for company drivers, to much time involved. Sometimes you’ll have a check on paper, but passed the cutoff date.

Coast to Coast runs being o.o no way. You aren't nowhere near maximizing profit that way

You need to lose the company driver mentality, it’s not about how many miles it’s about dollars.

Coast to coast has been good lately but that’s rare. Competing with rail is a loser for trucks during normal times. IMO.

I also enjoy the coast to coast runs. I'm flatbed and feel that I lose to much time off my clock between DH and securement to do short hops. I've not been an OO long enough to know what it's like to run in a bad market though so like I heard others say, "it's easy to look like a genius when everything is paying top dollar."

Im out of TX and I would say TX is more of a outbound state , Laredo and Dallas , Houston can be profitable . There is some good regional coming out of TX and of course border and port loads headed north arent to bad .
