Not sure how swift works or if its an option anymore on the qualcomm but as said above you can sign out and when you sign back in,if i remember correctly,it use to ask if you want to add the hours for no driver to yours and simply press no.

Couple questions, did someone at the company tell you to take 34 hours off?
Is it something you decided to do on your own? If so, did you announce it in a freeform message on the QC?
I think it is better to just keep quiet about your intentions, after all doesn't Swift pay you $50 bucks if they don't offer a preplan within 24 hours? i would think it would be better to sit for 10 or 12 or 20 hours and move to a truck stop 5 miles away, legally logging the time. Your tractor / trailer pings the location and moving, puts you up onthe planners' radar to look for a load to get that truck producing rather than risk paying that truck $50 bucks. -
I tried the logging out thing on one home time a few years back, just to go to the store.
As I got to the store I was being called by Swift asking who was driving my truck.
QC message and phone.
I was told, in no uncertain terms, that if I am driving the truck I HAD to be logged in.
I didn't get in trouble for it that time, but it has never happened again.
And I had to log back in before I could drive back home.
If you go joy riding while not logged in, they WILL know and will call you on it. -
You can drive 15 mph without it switching to drive just not forever. Probably five to ten minutes. Give it a try.

go into the perameters tab under performance, and look at what the settings are set for. Mine shows I can drive up to 1 mile before it changes me over to the drive line. And I have tried all these little tricks. Logging out does nothing. You are still tracked on the GPS. Your best option is to do as another suggested and do a hard reset. Youll get about 15 minutes with it offline. Ive gone in and change the speaker settings when you apply the changes the unit will do a hard reset.

Yes, give it a try now that they have set it to act differently.
It happened to me recently.
I stopped for my 30, then headed out at 29.
After all, it would not kick in within that minute.
But it does now.
Once you start moving you are on the drive line.
I had to stop again for another 30.
You can stop it if you shut the engine off before it happens. -
The other day I hit the exit to our warehouse with one minute left before a 30. Pulled over on service road, set flashers, put it in low and idled on down the road.
Figured if I kept the duty screen from going blue I was good.
At 19 minutes I was pulling up to guard shack.
Minute 20 hit and put me back on drive line for the full 20 mins, and flagged HOS Violation. -
