Not if it's set for movement too.
You can set that blipping the throttle X times then shut down.

In my opinion, having sweltered in a Werner sweatbox my first year if a company is going to have an idle policy, then they should either be required to provide an APU or put their drivers in a hotel.

75° outside temp is 90° in the sleeper. It's inhumane and it's downright abusive.

Even 65° outside is stuffy and uncomfortable in the sleeper.

For an industry that's supposedly hellbent on safety, these actions seem like a contradiction to that.

Werner had a bunk heater but my battery went dead 5.5 hours in and starts shrieking an alarm. I had to get up and start the truck for 20 mins to recharge the battery.

Then the dispatcher #####es when I pull over and take a 2 hour nap because I cant get any sleep because I have to get up in the middle of sleeping to start the truck to recharge the battery so I can go back to sleep. The tail wagging the dog routine.

This is why I left OTR and now run linehaul. I'm home every day, sleep in my own bed, weekends off and I make $130K+ a year. When the road closes or truck breaks down I go to a hotel.
