How to Prevent Theft on a Truck/Trailer?

    You can buy GPS tracker sniffers online. Thieves always seem to find and disable the tracker. Now you can get trackers that don't transmit unless the vehicle is moving. That might make them a little harder to find.

    Low tech might be the best approach. A steering wheel lock or a cuff lock for the brake valves.

    I would take a car or light truck in less than a minute without a towtruck, unload and pop the ignition in about 45 seconds, now the new tow trucks make it real easy, our tow truck used a Plate and a cable, the bottom bar aat the bottom of the plate had 4 inch long 3/4 inch #8 bolts that wold go behind the bumpers, back when cars actually had them, caused a considerable amount of damage over all so the banks prefered we poped the ignition, also back before smart keys.....This was like mid 70's.

    You can get trackers you turn on via cellular, so they are just receiving until your actually looking for it.
