How to tactfully back out of an orientation?

    It is a common thing for people to back out of orientation. Happens every single orientation. If you didn't show up for orientation, you were never hired. So, it's not going on your record for backing out, and you don't ever list them as employers.

    So, what's the big deal? Even if you don't call them, they're not going to hold it against you. But out of courtesy, I would call them and tell them that I got a better offer.

    That's the honest truth. I really want to know if you guys jumping on Chinatown really go on a first date with a woman and just lay it all out there... You know in the spirit of being upfront and honest. You tell her of all your faults, weaknesses, one night stands, that you fart in your sleep and that your feet stink. :D
