Well if anyone’s got a picture for me I’d be much obliged, got plenty of time lmfao not being able to do this the same way I do my 4 inch straps has got me all f’ed up. Appreciate the help so far

Edit - in this example I’m ‘securing’ the table - or - the table is the deck of your skateboard.
Open a little till slot is accessible, pass strap through from behind, and excess strap toward you then back over whatever you’re securing.
Then click click click to tighten
Close handle, secure excess - ready to roll.
Open all the way to large notch to release.
Pull strap - ratchet should rotate freely back to allow you to pull strap through, remove roll and store.

Tug Toy, Kyle G., HillbillyDeluxeTruck and 6 others Thank this. -
Extra for experts - here’s how I store excess. Roll it up,
Pass the last loop through the middle of the other loops.
Pull tight and stuff in rub rail, behind tensioned strap, or bungee it .
Tug Toy, PoleCrusher, singlescrewshaker and 6 others Thank this. -

Measure it to the inside of the stake pocket. So it fits snug in the stake pocket. That way, you can remove that little bolt that damages your DOT reflective tape every time it’s tightened on the rub rail.
You might not care because it’s a WE trailer, in which case you’ll have to install something in your mind called pride and professionalism, which will ultimately lead to something called success.
I oughta shut my mouth - I’ll wind up having to go to the trailer and show you.Last edited: Jun 27, 2020
Tug Toy, PoleCrusher, Hayfieldmn and 4 others Thank this. -
Don’t throw hook end, just in case you didn’t know. Bang someone’s head, break stuff.
Never travel with straps stored on winches.
Guy I know - last month - tends to be lazy like this. One got loose, his drive tire ‘stepped’ on it, wound up ripping off his front section of winch track - throwing it through the back of his fuel tank.
Expensive repair for an extra 5 minutes work.Tug Toy, PoleCrusher, Speed_Drums and 5 others Thank this. -
D.Tibbitt Thanks this.

Well since lubricant was mentioned a bit ago, I’m gonna be practicing with my chains and ratchet binders tomorrow (for the first time because I haven’t had a chain load with my trainer) and it’s pretty obvious I’m gonna need to spray something on them to loosen up my binders; is there something that’ll work for my straps and my binders as well that I can pick up at this truck stop I’m at? I know WD-40 is a bad idea because it’ll gunk it up
P.S. The guy who had this truck last didn’t take care of sheet, one look at those binders and I’m sure you’d be like, “Oh to hell with that, I’ll be right back”D.Tibbitt and blairandgretchen Thank this.
