Those dashcams are a life saver. Takes the "he said/she said" out of the equation entirely. I'd be shocked if Safety finds you remotely partially responsible. You clearly did everything right.MartinFromBC, MACK E-6 and Gearjammin' Penguin Thank this.

That driver is an idiot, and dollars to donuts says she was in the middle of a telephone call and didn’t bother to look.
I wouldn’t put it past any safety department to try and hand you “excessive speed” in a situation like that though.homeskillet, MartinFromBC, Mike2633 and 2 others Thank this. -
this is why I'm always extra cautious when driving next to a stopped lane with my foot ready to hit the brakes. There's ALWAYS going to be someone waiting to jump out. Seen it too many times.MartinFromBC, Mike2633 and EuropeanTrucker Thank this.

I wouldn't say they quite ran them into the ground. I mean, the drivers were (up until that last contract) paid MUCH higher than other LTL companies. And maybe the profitability wasn't there, but it also didn't have to be. Loss leader, like has been said.Mike2633 Thanks this.

Oh, I didn't see this @. Haha yeah four days a week in a sleeper pays an easy 150k. The very top teams are creeping ever closer to that 200k mark. Just a matter of time.

1200 miles x .96 cpm = $1,152 for the day.
So $576 per person per day in mileage.
It'd be common to get at least a couple hours of clock time every day. $42x2=$84.
Per diem pay ON TOP OF their mileage pay is 7 cpm to the team. 7x1200=$84 in tax-free money per day. Half of that means $42 to each member of the team.
So. In summation, 576+84+42=$702 per day out. $702x4=$2808. $2808x52=$146,016.
Maybe they could find the extra $3,984 in their couch cushions or something. -
