I used some flex seal on more than a few XPO trailers. Lol

Has anyone seen @Mike2633 post in recent times? He used to be a regular poster and I haven’t seen anything from him in quite a while.

Didn't he also have a YouTube channel or something? I remember he posted one or two videos that he made. I am also curious to know what happened to him..

I am not sure about a YouTube channel. He was a GFS driver and was recently married last I remember him posting, so maybe he got busy with life and raising a family.

Yeah, he has not been active since January or so. Kinda miss his posts cause he always had something constructive to talk about. Oddly enough this thread was started by him as well. Hope he is doing ok.

It’s quiet in here! Hopefully means everyone is staying busy?

I ended up leaving one grocery company to go to another. The 40 hours a week thing was just not working out for me after years of LTL and being able to put a lot of money into savings quickly.

New job is pretty similar, more multi stop loads and less drop and hooks, but still no-touch. It’s a 4-10 schedule, which I prefer a lot over the 5-8 I had been doing. Usually easy to pick up daily OT if I want it, and for extra shifts you just sign up for the day and time you want, and if they’re busy enough they’ll add you to the schedule. Starting pay is about $30, which is like a dollar less than I had been making, but it takes a year to top out at $36, so about the same timeframe to get to the same pay rate. Benefits are similar, it not a little bit better.

Overall I’m very happy with my new gig, and I’m disappointed I had to leave a job after only a few months. On the bright side, that job solidified that leaving LTL for grocery hauling was absolutely the right decision for me. I’m still ten times happier doing this than I was at the end of my time doing linehaul.

R+L called. Finally opening the new terminal by me in a few months. Took a p&d gig this time instead of Linehaul. Tired of nights and no sleep. I have to work out of Louisville for a few months but I will be #8 out of about 40 or more when fully running. 126 doors I believe. 2nd week in the books. I got 56 hours.

Sure is nice sleeping at night.

There was one particular individual who accused me of running everybody off.

I’ve had a pretty productive last couple weeks. I’ve been putting in well over 50-60hrs a week, and really enjoy those paychecks lol.

Boss is looking at moving me to an early morning linehaul gig. Fargo to Minot and back or Fargo to Bismarck and back plus a daily drop and hook in a MN town about 2hrs from our barn.
